If we add these two together, and remember that a large number of crystals are required in order to summon a Primal, then I concluded that every item we craft is, technically, a primal. ![]() In scenarios where node existence in the graph is optional, the best general strategy for MERGE operations is to always MERGE on the uniquely constrained identifier for each node involved in the total pattern in isolation and then MERGE the relationships using the node references already established. Knowing what know now that we looked the examples above, here are some best practices for you most common, simple MERGE operations: Then finally in the third statement, using the references established in the two preceding MERGE statements, ONgDB successfully connects both the ‘neo’ and ‘trinity’ User nodes with the KNOWS relationship. Then in the second line ONgDB doesn’t find the ‘trinity’ User node so a CREATE is performed, which establishes the reference. In Statement 2 ONgDB is able to MATCH the ‘neo’ User node in the first line and establishes a reference to it. This will cause ONgDB to attempt to create the entire pattern, which includes the already existing User node with a uniquely constrained username field causing an exception about violating the unique constraint. Let’s look at a couple examples of MERGE operations:Īssuming that a unique constraint exists on username for the User label and that (u:User ) doesn’t exist in the graph. After a MERGE operation you are guaranteed to have a useable reference to all identifiers established during the MERGE operation because they were either found or created. Always MERGE on each segment of the pattern that has the possibility to already exist.ģ. This means that if any element of the pattern does NOT exist, ONgDB will attempt to create the entire pattern.Ģ. The Geequel MERGE operation is a MATCH or CREATE of the entire pattern. There are a few simple things to understand about how ONgDB handles Geequel MERGE operations to avoid undesired or unexpected behavior when using it.ġ. Simple Geequel MERGE Examples Simple Geequel MERGE Best Practices ![]() Platypuses stow their prey in cheek pouches, and swim to the surface to eat. Moving its head back and forth, it can find prey nearby and swiftly move in for the kill. ![]() Additionally, about 40,000 electroreceptors help them find the direction and distance of prey (its eyes and ears are closed while it’s underwater) by detecting electrical impulses generated by living creatures. This strange-looking snout is laden with “pushrods” that respond to stimuli like touch, pressure, sound waves, and motion. It is dark colored, nearly black in contrast to its chocolate-colored coat. Its signature “duck bill” is actually soft and pliable, not hard like a duck’s bill at all. Its rear feet serve as rudders and brakes. Its plump tail serves as a stabilizer during swimming and stores extra fat for energy. While lumbering somewhat awkwardly on land to protect the webbing on its feet, they are sleek missiles in the water. Those big webbed feet help propel them through the water, and the claws make digging burrows a breeze. Mostly brown on its body, there’s a flash of white fur beneath its eyes, and its belly is lighter in color, too. Long guard hairs protect the dense fur underneath, which stays dry even after a platypus has been in the water for hours. Platypus fur is waterproof and traps an insulating layer of air to keep its body temperature stable, even in cold water. Their dense fur makes fine insulation, both in the water and out. While their range is just one small area of the world, they weather many climate extremes (and fresh water sources) from toasty plateaus and rainforests, to the chilly mountainous regions of Tasmania and the Australian Alps. At a glance, it looks like a hodgepodge of animal pieces stitched together: a paddle-shaped tail from an otter, a sleek body covered in dense, chestnut-colored fur like a mole, a wide, flat duck-like bill attached in front of its little round eyes, and big webbed feet like a pelican.Īll these characteristics come in handy for its freshwater lifestyle-that bizarre looking bill is laden with thousands of receptors that help a platypusl navigate the murky depths and detect tiny movements of potential food like shellfish or insects. The platypus is as fascinating on the inside as it is on the outside! Among Australia’s most iconic wildlife, this semi-aquatic, egg-laying species is also one of the few venomous mammals. Another bonus is that the RamBox storage means we still have all the Rebel’s interior storage available for stuff like our DSLR and GoPro camera gear and accessories. Further, we like that the RamBox doors are designed so they don’t travel into the cargo bed when open, which means they don’t hit items that are in the bed and higher than the bedrail. We also like that the RamBox doors have electric locks and that they operate in conjunction with the Rebel’s door locks and tailgate lock, and this includes with the key fob. Again, there’s still a significant amount of space available in that RamBox. In the other RamBox we carry a variety of things like trail snacks, a thick comforter, wet wipes, and a change of clothing and shoes for those times we get caught in rain when on the trail or working outside. This Slimline II cargo carrying rack kit contains the Slimline II tray (1255mm x 1762mm) and 6 Pickup Truck Bed Universal Legs that fit into the existing factory/OEM bed tracks. This kit creates a full-size rack that sits above your Dodge Ram's (2009 + w/OEM bed rails and RamBox) load bed. Even with all that stuff in the RamBox, there’s still room for more stuff. Dodge Ram w/ RamBox (2009-Current) Slimline II 6'4. We have one of our RamBoxes packed with a wide range of recovery gear, a small air compressor, a portable emergency battery for jump-starts, tire repair kit, bottle jack, a selection of tools, and lots more. Early on, we were skeptical as to whether or not they would be useful in daily life, but it didn’t take long for us to take a liking to them in a big way. This system includes weathertight, easy access, lockable cargo bins located on each side of the cargo bed. If we had one wish it’s that the system would raise the truck faster, but maybe we’re just impatient.Īnother area of the Rebel we want to talk about in this installment is the RamBox Cargo Management System. The Rebel’s adjustability helps improve those angles with the push of a button. We’ve often complained that newer trucks are too low to the ground, which adversely affect things like approach angle and breakover angle. While it does create a stiffer ride when raised, it’s a small price to pay for the adjustability. We also need to give kudos to the Rebel’s standard air suspension. ![]() The 4.7:1 First gear ratio of the eight-speed transmission helps to give the Rebel a crawl ratio of 48.7:1, which, combined with the excellent electronic driving calibration, makes crawling the big Rebel over slow-speed obstacles a smooth, no-drama experience. We’ve had wheels in the air, we’ve driven through ruts so deep that even with the air suspension at the maximum height the belly was still dragging, and we navigated untold miles of deep-sand roads as we explored the local forest. We’ve spent scores of hours on the trail in the truck and the combination has always found a way to keep us moving forward. In the past we’ve wished out loud that the Rebel had a rear locker, and nothing has changed in that respect, but we have to admit that the rear Anti-Slip differential and traction control system hasn’t let us down yet. ![]() Let’s start with some of our off-road observations. We’re several months into our test of the Ram 1500 Rebel long-term truck and we’ve learned a lot. ![]() Worst case scenario is you’ll fill your sleeves out some more. Why: Although strictly speaking you could file this one under ‘triceps exercises’, if your arms are the weak link in building a bigger bench press (and bigger chest, by proxy) then spending some time focussing on them could pay-off big time. Best BARBELL Moves for Building a Bigger Chest Keep your elbows at a 45 degree angle, pause here before explosively pressing back up. Lower the bells slowly until they touch the outside of your chest. Press a pair of dumbbells into the air, locking out your elbows. How: Lay with your back on a bench set at 45-degree angle, lift your legs and set your heels on the bench in front of your glutes, or press them flat onto a wall or box in front of the bench. Lift your feet onto the bench or place them on a wall to close the gap between your back and the bench. Sure it might let you use more weight, but you drastically reduce your range of motion and the amount of muscle fibres from your chest that you can recruit (and grow). ![]() ![]() Why: An all to common faux pas in pressing is over-arching the spine. As you press and lower the bell, grip the heads as hard as possible and attempt to ‘ crush’ the dumbbell between your hands, flexing your chest hard. Lay flat on a bench and slowly press the dumbbell above your chest to full lockout. How: Hold a single dumbbell, gripping the ‘heads’ on either side in each hand. By warming up with a squeezing movement, firing up your chest, you’re able to establish a good mind/muscle connection with those pecs ahead of the rest of your workout. Why: It can be hard to ‘ feel’ your pecs working during pressing movements. Likewise, meal prep and learning to count macros will help bolster your nutrition in your mission to build a bigger chest. Your body’s ability to absorb protein increases by 50% after a workoutĭon't neglect the carbs, either - concentrating your intake before and after exercise (a bagel with breakfast and banana with your post-workout protein shake, for example) will ensure you have enough fuel to push harder, lift heavier and last longer during a workout while ensuring your stores of glycogen don't deplete and leave you crawling into the shower. If you weigh 80kg, for example, that's 128g to 160g of protein per day. To build muscle, however, you'll need to double that, consuming around 1.6 to 2.0g per kilo of bodyweight. You should already have an AWS account, and AWS configured on your development machine via AWS CLI’s aws configure command. If you’re used to JMS, then you may need some pivoting, as SQS is not exactly a JMS provider, but there is a library that can be used as a bridge between JMS and SQS. We use SQS heavily at Marqeta for various integration patterns. This allows for decoupling various components of the architecture, and cleaner hand-off of responsibilities across them. SQS is a highly available and scalable PaaS for Messaging. In this post we will use SQS and boto 3 to perform basic operations on the service. Its fun, easy, and pretty much feels like working on a CLI with a rich programming language to back it up. In fact, this SDK is the reason I picked up Python - so I can do stuff with AWS with a few lines of Python in a script instead of a full blown Java setup.
